PTA Association Meeting
Our next Association Meeting is scheduled for April 15, 2009 at 7:30pm in the LRC (library). All PTA members are
encouraged to come and cast their votes to elect next year's Executive Board members. Please see the
the Nominating Committee's recommendations for next year's board members. Nominations will also be taken from the floor during the meeting.

Sally Foster Fundraiser
Our Sally Foster Fundraiser sale begins September 10th and runs for two weeks until the 24th.
Catalogs will go home on Wednesday.
New this year is the addition of cookie dough. We have decided to drop the incentive prizes, BUT at the end of the fundraiser, you will see Mr. E paint his hair yellow and add a cheetah spot with black paint for every $1,000 we raise! PTA receives 50% of Sally Foster sales and 40% Otis Spunkmeyer sales. Proceeds go to fund various PTA programs.

Association Meeting
PTA will be holding an Association meeting on Thursday, August 28th at Back to School Night. All PTA members are encouraged to attend.
Meet the principal and your PTA board members, approve classroom grants, hear presentations about and approve our goals, programs and fundraisers for this year, approve the budget, and discuss this year's STAR Event.

Registration Day Extravaganza
To kick-off Tierra Bonita's new paperless initiative, the PTA will be trying something entirely new this year. In the past, we've always sent home a "First Day Packet" that explained who we are, what we do, the programs that we fund to improve your students' school experience, and what we do with your generous donations. The paperwork in the packet allowed you to join the PTA, donate to support our school's programs, sign up for volunteer positions, and purchase school directories, yearbooks, and t-shirts.
This year, we are forgoing the First Day packets in the interest of saving money and the environment. Instead, we will offer sign-ups for volunteering, yearbook, directory, and t-shirts sales, and encourage donations during Registration Days on August 5th and 6th. PTA volunteers will be available to present information about our programs and fundraising efforts and to answer questions. Registration Day is your chance to join Tierra Bonita’s PTA, sign up to be listed in the student directory, order your yearbook, and sign up to volunteer or donate to support all the exciting activities we have planned for our children this year.
Please come prepared to spend a few extra minutes reviewing the information that we will have available and remember to bring your checkbook if you'd like to join the PTA, make a donation, or purchase yearbooks or t-shirts.
